Joshua AshishDawson
Joshua Ashish Dawson is an Indian-born, architect-trained World builder, Narrative designer, and award-winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Joshua received a Master’s in Advanced Architectural Studies from the University of Southern California, where he received the S. Kenneth Johnson Memorial Scholarship, and was a Gesundheit traveling fellow. He has previously trained under Pritzker prize-winning architect Balkrishna V. Doshi as well as under Hollywood production designer Alex McDowell, founder of the World Building Institute. He has been featured in Vice Motherboard, Domus Italy, ArchDaily, Designboom, Director’s Notes, and Domus Italy. Joshua’s films have been screened at renowned film festivals, TV channels, and galleries including Architecture Film Festival, Rotterdam; Arquiteturas Film Festival, Lisbon; Archcine Fim Festival, Cinetekon Film Festival, Canal180, Fiber Festival, Chattanooga Film Festival, Sydney SciFi Festival. He received the IGen 50 award for “the 50 young Indian architects & designers shaping the future of design” as well as the Jury prize at the Cinequest Film Festival in 2019.
